A FOOL'S GARDEN

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

:: Our studio enjoyed the 2003 installation so much that we decided to do one on each anniversary of our studio, which is April 1.

:: Our designers transformed the hall outside of the studio into a temporary installation.

:: Squares of live sod were placed throughout the hall which forced people who entered the hall to either walk on top of them or follow a meandering path around them.

:: Plastic lawn chairs and metal watering cans were placed on various squares to encourage individuals to spend time in or water the 'garden'. This interaction was an important part of the installation; without people becoming involved in the experience, it was not a fool's garden.
