PLANE/LINE/POINT

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

:: Our third annual installation took a slightly different approach than prior years. Three teams from our office were asked to express topography in one of three ways: by point, line, or in a plane.

:: Plane - titled "Overhead Plane" this installation is described as "a study of the roof and the sky...of the plane and the perception." Designed by Nanda Ragunathan, Vanessa Rutter, and Chris Sherwin.

:: Line - titled "Line(s)" and designed by Ying-Ling Sun, Kiku Kurahashi, Linda Daley and Amanda Sigafoos, this piece is best described as an "expression of topography with bent wires on a vertical surface."

:: Point - titled "hyp-som-e-try" and defined as "n. The science or art of determining or representing terrain relief, by any method", this installation was designed by Calvin Abe, David Briley, Megan Horn, Wei Huang, and Anton Smith.
