Client: Community Redevelopment Agency/Los Angeles (CRA/LA)
Located on what was once an empty dirt lot, Angels Knoll Plaza is a new urban pocket park in downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to the Metro Rail station at Pershing Square and Angels Flight, a historic funicular.
Angels Knoll Plaza is intended to be a temporary space until a planned office tower takes over the parcel of land at a future date.
Design elements include drought tolerant plants, wood-planket seating vignettes, and striking plaza paving, created by artist Jacci Den Hartog.
