BMW FACTORY CENTRAL BUILDING COMPETITION

LEIPZIG, GERMANY

:: AHBE participated in a competition set forth by BMW Group to design a central building, a retail area, an employee parking area, and an open space.

:: Together with Greg Lynn FORM and House + Robertson Architects, we submitted anonymously to the competition which included 24 invited participants; from that entry, our team was selected as one of the 9 finalists.

:: The functional building spaces inform the shape of the roof, and that, in turn, shapes the spaces within the building. The interior forms extend into the outdoor spaces and compliment the functional elements of the landscape.
