GARDENA PARKING

GARDENA, CALIFORNIA

:: The design transforms the City of Gardena, California’s, requirement of two public parking lots on the main downtown street into a vibrant amenity for the citizens of Gardena: urban park space.

:: In addition to providing unique plantings and signage, the project expanded to include a brick-paved plaza, benches, and a trellis in the form of abstracted tree canopies that also acts as a bus stop.
