LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Client: Gonzalez Goodale Architects

Public Artists: May Sun and Richard Wyatt

Located at the former site of the landmark Ambassador Hotel, this LAUSD 24-acre campus represents one of the largest school construction projects in the country and features separate facilities for grades K-3, a middle school and high school.

AHBE's design, based on the concept of a quilt, weaves together the diverse demographics of the student population. Various courtyards, playgrounds, and amphitheater spaces are planned to be utilized according to various student grades and activities, while each zone is connected seamlessly with the use of landscape elements. A linear, public, inspiration park was designed to honor Robert F. Kennedy and his life's work.
